Wednesday was the first official day of AQS QuiltWeek in Paducah, and an estimated 30,000 attendees gathered at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention & Expo Center to view award-winning quilts and others that exhibit the fine craft.
Hailing from Maine, Margaret E. Solomon Gunn has competed in quilting contests throughout the country since 2010. At the 2025 QuiltWeek Awards Ceremony, her quilt “Supraspinatus’s Swan Song†won the Best Movable Machine Workmanship Award, one of the four highly coveted main categories.
