Thousands of people from across the country and the world are in Paducah for AQS QuiltWeek, and as the crowds of quilters bring a surge in business for local shops and restaurants, they also represent a fundraising opportunity for churches and other organizations.

Michelle Renee Hiatt, QuiltWeek's executive show director, reported that the event generated $23 million for the economies of McCracken County and Marshall County in 2023.
